Karen Greenhalgh is a proven leader in business and community service.
A mom, small business owner, and community leader, Karen has worked tirelessly on behalf of Virginia Beach.
Karen founded and developed Heritage Woodworks Inc., a highly successful custom cabinet manufacturing facility, which has spawned several growing Virginia Beach businesses.
After selling Heritage Woodworks, Karen devoted herself to community service and worked at medical centers with women who needed extra support during their pregnancies.
Managing these medical centers included meeting regulations, such as HIPAA’s, that mandate the privacy and security of patient information. Karen recognized the growing need for addressing privacy and cybersecurity risks in health care and started Cyber Tygr.
Karen’s business quickly became a success. Cyber Tygr worked with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and supports the HHS 405(d) Cybersecurity Work Group.
In the House of Delegates, Karen utilized her business acumen and expertise in medicine to enact commonsense policies that lower health care costs on consumers and create jobs.
She will never stop putting our community first.
